Hercules

Hercules

For the Hercules project, a research agreement was established with the University of Parma, which allowed for the determination of correct exchange coefficients, power absorption, and material studies in the presence of various tested products. This enabled MBS to develop its own calculation program to achieve maximum efficiency for the exchangers produced. Hercules represents an excellent solution for high-viscosity products with suspended particles and a tendency to adhere to exchange surfaces, transforming a “batch” process into a “continuous” one and significantly improving the exchange coefficient.

Operating principles
1) The product to be treated enters the exchanger through a head, whose geometry is designed to facilitate entry and reduce stress.
2) Once inside the cylinder, the product is continuously removed from the exchange wall by rotating blades, which ensure good mixing, excellent temperature uniformity, and clean exchange walls.
3) The service fluid simultaneously passes through the external section in a counter-current flow.
Advantages
– High exchange efficiency with demanding products
– Gentle product handling
– Easy disassembly and inspection
– Simple maintenance.
Fields of application
Ideal for medium and high-viscosity products, including those with suspended particles. Perfect for complex fluids that tend to “burn,” stick, and/or solidify upon contact with hot or cold walls.
Products
Concentrates, jams, ketchup, mayonnaise, chocolate, soups, sauces, meat sauce, jellies, baby food, honey, butter, curds, ice cream, oils, fat, etc.
